Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of this website, the membership and RSVP forms linked from it, and related club services, including the Austin Jacks mobile app for iPhone and Android (the “App”).

By using this website, submitting a form, creating an App login, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use these services.

1. What Austin Jacks is

Austin Jacks is a private, volunteer-run men’s club for in-person social events in the Austin, Texas area. Events are for adults 21+.

This website explains the club, points you to orientation and FAQs, and links to forms to join or RSVP. The App helps members RSVP, pay dues or tickets, show a ticket, and read club information.

We are not a dating app, hookup marketplace, or livestream. Paying dues or tickets does not “unlock” a digital product inside the App. Any members-only group chat is outside this website and outside the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old. This site may ask you to confirm that before viewing club content.

Event eligibility is determined by club organizers. Events are not co-ed.

We may refuse, suspend, or end website form processing, App access, or club membership if we believe you do not meet these rules or the club’s code of conduct.

3. This website and forms

  • Do not misuse this site (scraping, attacks, impersonation, or flooding forms).
  • Form answers must be accurate enough for us to contact you and run events (especially email).
  • Submitting a membership or RSVP form does not guarantee entry. Organizers may review, waitlist, or decline as the club’s process requires.
  • Current public membership options offered through our forms are Trial ($30 for 30 days, once) and Standard ($55 for 365 days). Prices and options shown on the Join page control if they differ.

4. Club membership vs App login

Club membership is your standing with the club (Trial or Standard, paid or unpaid, active window).

An App login (email and password) is how you sign into the mobile App. It is not the same as membership. You can delete the App login and still be a member. Website RSVP may still work. Ending membership is a separate request. Dues already paid are not automatically refunded because you deleted an App login.

5. The mobile App

If you use the App:

  • You must provide a real email you control, a unique username, a password, and an accurate birthday, and complete email verification when asked.
  • Dues and event tickets charged in the App are for real-world membership and in-person events. They are processed by Stripe with Apple Pay on iPhone and Google Pay on Android. There is no typed-card form, no saved card, and no auto-renew. These are not Apple or Google in-app digital subscriptions.
  • Refunds and event credits for card-paid RSVPs follow the choices in the App (Profile → Settings). Door cash or Venmo is recorded by organizers when offered.
  • House rules and the code of conduct apply at events. Repeated violations can lead to being disinvited or having membership revoked without a refund, as the club already states in its conduct materials.

6. Deleting an App login

Website and email requests are processed by hand, usually within seven days. Club records may stay as described in the Privacy policy. In-App card refunds of past charges will not work after the login has been deleted.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use these services if you are under 21, or help someone under 21 use them
  • Share another member’s identity or private event details
  • Harass, stalk, or record people
  • Bypass payment, check-in, form, or role limits
  • Submit illegal content or someone else’s private information in forms or messages

We may cancel RSVPs, close an App login, or refuse further form submissions when we believe these Terms were broken.

9. Content and feedback

Club materials on this website and in the App are owned by Austin Jacks or its licensors. You get a personal, revocable right to use them for club purposes. You do not get a right to copy the App or resell access.

If you send feedback, suggestions, or form comments, you grant Austin Jacks a non-exclusive right to use that feedback to run and improve the club.

10. Third-party services

This website and our forms rely on providers such as Squarespace and Google. The App relies on providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Expo, and Resend, and on device features (Apple Pay, Google Pay, calendar, camera). Their terms apply to their services. We are not those companies.

11. Disclaimer

THIS WEBSITE, OUR FORMS, AND THE APP ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUSTIN JACKS DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the site or App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every event will go as listed.

Some places do not allow these disclaimers. They apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUSTIN JACKS AND ITS ORGANIZERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND PROVIDERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM THIS WEBSITE, OUR FORMS, THE APP, OR CLUB EVENTS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THIS WEBSITE, OUR FORMS, OR THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO AUSTIN JACKS FOR MEMBERSHIP OR EVENTS THROUGH OUR SERVICES IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50).

This does not limit liability that the law says cannot be limited.

13. Indemnity

If a third party claims that your misuse of this website, our forms, or the App, or your conduct at an event, caused them harm, you will defend and indemnify Austin Jacks and its organizers against that claim, including reasonable legal fees, except to the extent we caused the harm.

14. Changes and termination

We may change this website, our forms, the App, or these Terms. If you keep using these services after a change, you accept the new Terms, except where the law requires more notice.

We may stop offering the website, forms, or App. You may stop using them and delete an App login as described above.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Travis County, Texas are the venue for disputes that belong in court, except where the law requires otherwise.

If a piece of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
